The Brief
CAT A and CAT B fit-out of United House, a 5-storey space, for The Office Group. The inspiration of the design came from the cultural Notting Hill surroundings to design a prime flexible shared work space. Their objective was to create a vibrant work area, "home-from-home" feel office area including a communal lounge and mixed design. Sustainability was also important for The Office Group and this was integrated into the design at every opportunity, re-using materials where possible such as clay, quarry tiles, ask and oak timber and naturally woven textiles. Solar panels and a green roof were also installed to help offset emissions.
The Outcome
Working closely throughout the design stage with all partners and trades we delivered full CAT A throughout the building from top to bottom and then created meeting rooms, lounges, bars, tea-points, dining areas, bike storage, showers, phone booths, focus booths, built in lockers, meditation & recharge room and outdoor space. Key features included bespoke joinery elements, shelving partitions, feature lighting, feature flooring, exposed services to communal areas of the office, feature 'diner' booths in break out area and decorations throughout incorporating splashes of colour that bring together the modern and vintage qualities of Notting Hill.
