The Brief
Well-known retailor approached Stanway to deliver CAT A and CAT B works for a new photography studio. Harrods required a light and open-plan space to support them with their photoshoots and selected a trendy space in Shoreditch, with the aim to shoot half a million photographs every year including all product images for their website. It was imperative that the new studio met the needs of the diverse teams' current work demands, whilst allowing flexibility due to the nature of the fast-moving sector.
The Outcome
We accommodated the clients requirements by delivering their photographic studio from shell and core, with exposed services in a double height space and construction of a new mezzanine floor. The main aspect of their brief was specialist zone lighting, having a high degree of user control to enable each work-area to be adapted to suit the photoshoot requirements. This included raised computer floor and the walls being lined with a specialist acoustic panels. Additional facilities included a secure reception and storage area. A segregated studio. This was finished with decoration throughout incorporating biophilic design.
